Revised Schedule. Refocused Learning. Increased ROI.
Welcome To an All-New CAMEX Experience
We’re rebooting CAMEX with a condensed onsite schedule, advanced online content, and increased engagement opportunities to help you expand industry relationships and build essential business connections.
The major changes, beginning with CAMEX 2019, include new ways to achieve your business goals, and learning opportunities focused on actionable takeaways.
Designed to make your time at CAMEX even more productive, new facilitated Pathways will focus on the topics most critical to you. Each Pathway includes a customized, digital learning guide that will be your planning tool throughout the conference. Prior to the conference, you will be prompted to select your Pathway from the following options:
- Store Leadership and Strategy
- Course Materials eXperience (CM-X)
- Marketing, Communications, and Promotions
- Merchandising and Buying
- Technology Products and Retailing
New Pathway Virtual Primers (webinar prep sessions) will get you up to speed weeks before leaving for San Antonio. Up to three hours of programming for each Pathway will be available online providing research, trends, and other key insights to prepare you for both onsite learning and the trade show. All helping to focus your time at CAMEX on your business goals, without sacrificing key learning opportunities. You can attend the Virtual Primers for other Pathways, as well, expanding the content (and value) you can gain from your CAMEX registration.
Some events, such as the Fashion Show, have been replaced with additional learning opportunities for each Pathway, along with new ways of finding the latest products in campus fashions. Debuting at CAMEX 2019, conference wrap-up and goal-setting sessions help you prioritize what you’ve learned, and document strategies for your campus objectives for the trade show.
The timing of pre-conference events, and the opening of CAMEX itself, has been adjusted to further condense the conference schedule and decrease hotel stays and other related travel costs.
New Business Connections
Through The Quad, an invigorating environment that reflects the energetic personality of campus retail, you can build better connections with new vendors, and expand relationships with current ones. For example, reserve and host business meetings in the relocated B2B Connection. Now housed in the lobby area, buyers and exhibitors can use this meeting space throughout the conference and trade show for conversations in a convenient, hosted space (details on reserving space will be online in October).
Following a successful debut last year, CAMEX 2019 will feature a categorized trade show floor. To easily find new exhibitors in each product category, look for a listing within the CAMEX mobile app and floor decals onsite. Additionally, a desktop version of the mobile app, CAMEX Planner, will also be available. This new option features the same functionality as the mobile app, plus new curated lists of vendors that make finding relevant exhibitors a breeze.
Ultimately, your show will have more moments to discover, collaborate, buy, and learn.
Ranked as the Best City for Conferences for the third year in a row*, San Antonio is also the most popular past CAMEX destination, made even more vibrant with a transformed convention center. Moving forward, CAMEX will continue to be held in true destination cities that are ideally suited for conferences, offering the convenience, environment, and rejuvenation you need.
