Johnny Cupcakes

Opening Session and Keynote
Friday, Feb. 22, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

When 19-year-old musician Johnny Earle picked up the nickname Johnny Cupcakes, he had no idea it would lead to starting a tee-shirt shop that resembles an old-fashioned bakery.

Seventeen years later, the Johnny Cupcakes brand inspires intense loyalty from its young-adult consumers, to the point where they line up around the block to plunk down $36 for a tee-shirt, and many sport tattoos with the signature cupcake-and-crossbones design.

He's been featured in business media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, NPR, Inc. Magazine, Bloomberg TV, among others, and was named the top young innovator by BusinessWeek.

Earle's high-energy CAMEX presentation will explore where to find inspiration to reinvent your campus store, and how to build brand loyalty by creating memorable experiences for your customers. For an idea of what to expect, take a look at his entertaining 2015 TEDx Talk.

Earle will talk about his entrepreneurial journey at the Opening Session and Keynote on Friday afternoon, Feb. 22, which kicks off CAMEX 2019. This ticketed event, sponsored by G-Shock, is included in all registrations except Trade Show Only. Badges will be scanned for entry.
