Join us Thursday, March 1, 1:00-5:30 p.m. to gather a list of ideas, how-to’s, and best practices on guided Campus Store Tours of these Follett stores: UTA Bookstore at University of Texas at Arlington (enrollment 28,000+), TCU University Store at Texas Christian University (enrollment 10,000+), and El Centro College Bookstore, part of the Dallas County Community College District (enrollment at El Centro 11,000+). Registration is required. This ticketed event is $55 for NACS members and $85 for non-members. Tour departs from Shuttle area lower Lobby A/B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Retail Store Tour: Target

Learn from one of the nation’s retail giants. Join us Thursday, March 1, 1:00-5:00 p.m. on a Retail Tour of Target. Like other retailers, Target is struggling to increase sales and profits in today’s environment of more competition from online shopping, new stores, and consumers spending less on “more stuff.” Examine fresh updates and renovations crafted to entice buyers to come into stores and stay awhile. Registration is required. This ticketed event is $55 for NACS members and $85 for non-members. Tour departs from Shuttle area lower Lobby A/B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

K-12 Store Tour

Meet up after the Fashion Show and join us for a tour of two K-12 school stores: The Lynch Locker at Bishop Lynch High School and The Eagle’s Nest at Episcopal School of Dallas. Transportation and dinner will be provided.

Tech Buyers Institute

Whether you’re a seasoned buyer or new to the technology market, our Technology Buyers Institute will help you to develop or enhance skills in risk tolerance, category management, cross-selling techniques, and benchmarking. This complimentary event will be held Friday, March 2, 1:15-3:15 p.m. Registration is required.

CAMEX Strategic Dialogue

The cost of higher education and course materials continue to be a challenge for students. CAMEX Strategic Dialogue is an in-depth conversation to discuss trends, implications, and how your store can be part of the solution. This complimentary event is Friday, March 2, 1:15-3:15 p.m. Registration is not required but is preferred as space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits.

Inventory Management Workshop --presented by RMSA & indiCo

See improvements in customer satisfaction, store performance, and revenue with lessons from the Inventory Management Workshop Friday, March 2, 2:25-5:00 p.m. This intensive workshop combines theory and application through the artful teaching of RMSA expert Paul Erikson and tactical experts from indiCo, a National Association of College Stores subsidiary. Registration is required but tickets are complimentary.

CAMEX Book Talk Luncheon

Join us for the seventh annual CAMEX Book Talk Luncheon Saturday, March 3; 12:00-12:50 p.m. When you register for the Luncheon, you’ll receive a copy of the book selected, to read before CAMEX. This event is underwritten by the NACS Foundation. Registration is required. Tickets are $25 for NACS members and $45 for non-members.

Stay & Play: George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum

Tuesday, March 6, 2:15-5:30 p.m. Experience more of our host city and a piece of our political history in our Stay and Play visit of The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. A showcase of both Presidential and American history, the museum includes a full-size replica of the White House Oval Office, exhibits that explore the life and career of George W. Bush, and much more. This ticketed event is $50 and pre-registration is required. Departs from the Shuttle area lower Lobby A/B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center promptly at 2:15 p.m.

CAMEX & Me

The former First Timers Program has been revamped to introduce attendees of all levels to the benefits of the industry’s largest event. Being the new kid on the block, or coming to CAMEX solo, does not mean you’re in it alone. The CAMEX & Me program will allow you to meet up with other attendees and hear tips from CAMEX veterans to make your trip a success. Join us Thursday, March 1, 3:30-5:15 p.m. for this gathering to make your CAMEX a more engaging, rewarding experience. Registration is required but the event is free.
