Updates and ChangesUpdates and changes to your session description, AV needs, presenters, and other details should be e-mail to Tony Ellis at tellis@nacs.org as soon as possible.
Presenters ManualThe Online Presenters Manual offers information, suggestions, and tips on everything from Understanding Adult Learners to Responsibilities of Panelists. Be sure to use this valuable resource at every stage of your presentation development and preparation.
Presentation TemplateTo ensure everyone has a polished look when they "go on stage", we've developed a PowerPoint presentation template for use in developing session slide presentations. This year we have TWO templates—one for DIM session rooms and one for BRIGHT session rooms. Our preference is that you keep the lights BRIGHT in your session room and use the BRIGHT presentation template (white background) for easier viewing by participants. If, however, you are using a lot of images, video, or other graphics that require the lights to be dimmed during your presentation, use the DIM template (dark background) for easier viewing in dimmer lighting. To use the template, simply open the file, save under a new name and build your show. These files are not actual PowerPoint slide "templates"—due to varying versions of PowerPoint! Therefore, if you have an existing show you may transition your show to this template or simply place the CAMEX title slide at the beginning of your existing show and ensure that your show includes a Session Title slide and Contact slide as in the template files. If you have questions about using this template, feel free to contact Tony Ellis at tellis@nacs.org or (800) 622-7498, ext. 2354.
The Online Presenters Manual offers great information about developing your handouts. But at least one suggestion is worth highlighting here: Develop your handout to clearly answer the questions like "What are the steps I should follow?" and/or "What are the most important things learned?" (from a case study presentation, for example). Your participants will need these details once they get home!
